BOY SCOUT TROOP SCUBA CLASS
There are several activities available to Troops and Crews once you become certified divers: Sea Base in Florida, a self-directed high adventures program, camping/diving trips in southern Missouri and community service projects.
There are three primary components to the course, academic, confined water (pool), and open water (lake or ocean).
The Dive Shop Kansas City understands the value that scouting brings to youth and is proud to offer discounted private PADI Open Water Diver course for Troops and Crews looking to explore the underwater world.
We offer this program to scouts for $500.00 per scout and adult leader.
DISCOUNTED CLASS REQUIREMENTS
- Each person must be a registered scout.
- Only weekend courses are scheduled Friday 6-9 Sat 9-5 and Sun 9-2
- Each troop is responsible for scheduling their class times with The Dive Shop.
- Class start dates will be scheduled at least 6 weeks in advance.
- Note – Any missed pool sessions will cost $35.00 per person to make up.
- A pre-scheduled weekend overnight will be required for the open water training dives.
Students are required to have their own mask, fins, and snorkel before the open water dives at the lake. It is also HIGHLY recommended that they have them for the pool sessions too. The Dive Shop is a full-service dive shop and can help set students up with gear that fits their budget and body size.
